Ford Motor Company in California is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager within Ford Pro Intelligence to lead a team of software engineers, guide technical direction, and deliver high-quality, scalable software for our commercial customers.

You will work with product, design and engineering partners, drive delivery pipelines, and participate in recruiting while advancing architectures across front-end and back-end services.

Qualifications

• 12 years of software development experience with proficiency in Java, Python, C, or Go.
• 5 years in a senior leadership role managing people and delivering software products to market.
• 5 years leading teams building customer-facing, browser-based applications with UI/UX and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
• 5 years with cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• 3 years leading teams that design, build, and scale internal and external APIs with service-oriented and microservices architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering managers who support software engineering teams delivering end-to-end products from conception to production.
• Grow engineering managers and engineers with performance feedback and development opportunities.
• Oversee planning, execution and delivery of software projects on time and within budget.
• Lead cross-functional scope including frontend UI/UX and backend API services.
• Engage with product, design, and engineering to define requirements and priorities.
• Manage risks and dependencies and resolve issues.
