Ford Motor Company invites a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead a team within Ford Pro Intelligence, guiding technical direction, ensuring high-quality delivery, and driving cross-functional collaboration with product, design, and engineering partners.

You will oversee end-to-end software products for commercial customers, manage managers and engineers, and push for improvements in the engineering delivery pipeline, security, and performance across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of software development experience with proficiency in Java, Python, C, Go.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing people and delivering software products.
• 5+ years leading teams building customer-facing, browser-based applications with modern JavaScript frameworks.
• 5+ years of cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• 3+ years leading teams that design, build, and scale internal and external APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering managers who support software engineering teams delivering end-to-end products.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of software projects on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to define requirements and priorities.
• Recruit and develop teams, review designs and architectures, improve delivery pipelines.
• Drive continuous improvement for quality, security, and performance.
