Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering to lead Specialty Pharmacy tech initiatives and a diverse engineering team. You will drive modernization, collaborate with Strategy, Operations and Product, and shape a multi-year technology roadmap.

You will guide design, development, testing and delivery across geographies, focusing on efficiency, quality and innovation in healthcare technology.

Qualifications

7+ years of software development experience with Agile methods.
5+ years in microservices using Python and Java (Spring Boot).
3+ years leading distributed remote software teams.
3+ years using containerization like Kubernetes and Docker.
2+ years of cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
1+ year using AI frameworks for web services and tools.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of specialty pharmacy products and tech assets.
Improve engineering practices, efficiency, time to market, and quality.
Mentor engineering teams across multiple sites and time zones.
Manage talent, performance, and career growth with measurable goals.
Collaborate with business, product, and technology partners on roadmaps.
Work with vendors to staff onshore and offshore teams; travel up to 10% as needed.
