CVS Health Specialty Pharmacy Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering to lead modernization and drive operational efficiency across multiple geographies. You will shape a multi-year roadmap and work with Strategy, Operations, and Product leaders to deliver value.

You will lead a diverse engineering and change management team, oversee agile releases, and drive technology strategy while ensuring quality and growth across platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience with Agile methodologies.
• 5+ years building microservices using Python and Java (Spring Boot).
• 3+ years leading distributed multi-site/remote teams.
• 3+ years containerization tech (Kubernetes, Docker).
• 2+ years cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• 1+ years AI frameworks and AI-based web services.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, framework and development of Specialty Pharmacy tech assets.
• Improve engineering practices, efficiency, time-to-market and quality.
• Guide and mentor engineering teams across diverse platforms.
• Oversee hiring, performance management and career development.
• Collaborate with Business, Product and Tech to support delivery roadmap.
• Partner with vendors for onshore/offshore staffing.
• Engage with solution vendors to meet tech needs.
• Conduct tech R&D to form long-term strategy around healthcare tech.
• Travel up to 10% within the United States as needed.
