Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering for its Specialty Pharmacy Engineering team. You will lead a diverse, geographically distributed team to plan, build and deliver a multi-year modernization roadmap across platforms and tech stacks.

You will drive architecture, development, testing and delivery while partnering with Strategy, Operations, and Product leaders to accelerate value and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience with Agile methodologies.
• 5+ years developing microservices using Python and Java Spring Boot.
• 3+ years leading distributed multi-site/remote software teams.
• 3+ years experience with containerization tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
• 2+ years experience on cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• 1+ years experience with Agentic AI frameworks and generative AI web services/tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, foundational framework and development of Specialty Pharmacy products and technology assets.
• Assess software engineering practices, drive continuous improvement and improve time to market and quality.
• Lead engineering teams, mentoring across diverse platforms and geography.
• People management: hiring, performance management, coaching and career growth with measurable goals.
• Build relationships with Business, Product and Technology partners to support the delivery roadmap.
• Partner with vendors to staff onshore/offshore/nearshore teams and with solution vendors.
• Conduct tech research and innovation to develop long-term strategy based on healthcare/tech trends.
• Travel up to 10% within the United States as needed.
