Job summary
CVS Health Specialty Pharmacy Engineering is seeking a hands-on Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering to lead a diverse team and advance a multi-year modernization roadmap across geographies.
The role partners with Strategy, Operations, and Product to deliver value through scalable software, strong engineering practices, and an AI-aware platform. Travel up to 10% is expected.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of software development experience with Agile methodologies.
- 5+ years of microservices development (Python, Java Spring Boot).
- 3+ years leading distributed multi-sited/remote software teams.
- 3+ years containerization experience (Kubernetes, Docker).
- 2+ years cloud platforms experience (GCP preferred).
- 1+ years experience with Agentic AI frameworks and generative AI web services/tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of Specialty pharmacy products and technology assets.
- Assess and improve software engineering practices to boost efficiency, time-to-market and quality.
- Guide engineering teams across platforms and mentor staff.
- Handle people management including hiring, performance reviews and career growth.
- Collaborate with Business, Product and Technology partners to deliver the roadmap.
- Partner with vendors to staff onshore/offshore teams.
- Research emerging healthcare tech trends to shape a long-term strategy.
- Travel up to 10% within the United States as needed.
