Job summary

Amazon Leo is expanding its secure satellite software for U.S. government customers, including NASA and DoD. The role focuses on building and maintaining foundational software and new services for mission-critical space safety and sustainability, coordinating with external systems and teams.

Based in Sunnyvale, CA, on-site work is required five days a week. A U.S. citizen is required to meet government compliance, with relocation benefits available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, build out, and maintain foundational software for Amazon Leo capabilities for government customers.
• Develop new software services for mission-critical space safety and sustainability applications.
• Collaborate with hardware, security, systems, and product teams to deliver scalable, real-time solutions.
