Job summary

Uber is hiring on the Membership team to shape next-generation member experiences for Uber One across UberEats and UberX. You will architect scalable systems, partner with engineers, PMs, and designers to deliver impactful features used by millions of members worldwide.

Strong candidates have extensive Android development experience with Java/Kotlin, deep system design knowledge, and a track record of end-to-end project leadership in high-availability environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering building large scale systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Extensive hands-on Android development experience with Java and/or Kotlin.
• Experience delivering mobile apps used by hundreds of millions of users.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, and architecture.
• Proven ability to lead end-to-end technical projects and drive velocity.

Responsibilities

• Identify new opportunities to evolve the Uber One program across UberEats and UberX.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, data scientists, and designers to build and optimize products for millions of members.
• Architect robust, scalable systems to resolve complex technical challenges at scale.
• Drive platform evolution, microservices architecture, and API design.
• Foster engineering excellence to boost velocity and quality.
