Job summary

Uber is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Membership team in New York City. You will architect next-generation member experiences and build scalable systems powering Uber One across UberEats and UberX.

You will collaborate with engineers, PMs, data science, and designers to deliver high-impact features for millions of members, shaping the platform's future through robust, reliable services and API design.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on Android development with Java and/or Kotlin and code reviews.
• Experience delivering mobile apps used by hundreds of millions of users.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, and architecture.
• Experience leading technical projects end-to-end and driving architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to evolve the Uber One program across UberEats and UberX.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, Data Science, and Designers to build and optimize products for millions of members.
• Architect robust, scalable systems to resolve complex technical challenges for global users.
• Drive technical strategy for platform evolution, microservices, and API design.
• Foster engineering excellence to improve velocity and quality.
