Job summary

Uber is seeking a senior software engineer to shape the future of the Uber One membership program. You will architect scalable, highly available systems powering millions of members across UberX and UberEats, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver impact.

You will lead architecture reviews, drive technical standards, mentor staff, and advance observability, incident response, and development velocity to support growth and reliability.

Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale systems.
Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
Expert in one or more programming languages and code reviews.
Proven ability to lead end-to-end platform projects and reduce technical debt.
Experience with testing, monitoring, and incident management at scale.

Responsibilities

Partner with XFN teams to evolve Uber One across UberEats and UberX.
Design, build, and optimize scalable, reliable systems for millions of users.
Lead architecture reviews and drive platform evolution and API design.
Mentor staff engineers and raise the bar for observability and incident response.
Define standards for testing, monitoring, and incident management.
Foster engineering culture and improve development velocity and quality.
