Job summary

Uber is seeking a senior software engineer to shape the next generation of the Uber One program. You will design and build scalable, reliable systems across UberEats and UberX, partnering with engineers, PMs, data scientists, and designers to deliver high-impact member experiences.

You will lead architecture, define platform standards, and guide end-to-end delivery from inception to production. A strong background in distributed systems and real-time marketplaces will help you drive company

Qualifications

5+ years work experience building large-scale systems.
Bachelor's (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proficiency in Go, Java, Python, Kotlin, Swift, or C++ and code reviews.
Deep fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, system design, architecture.
Experience owning critical platforms and improving developer velocity.

Responsibilities

Identify new opportunities to evolve the Uber One program across UberEats and UberX.
Collaborate with engineers, PMs, Data Science and Designers to build scalable products used by millions.
Architect robust, highly available systems to serve millions of users and resolve complex tradeoffs.
Drive technical strategy for platform evolution, microservices, and API design.
Cultivate engineering culture and improve velocity and quality.
