Job summary

Uber is seeking a senior software engineer to shape the next generation of the Uber One program. You will architect scalable systems powering UberEats and UberX while collaborating with engineers, PMs, data scientists, and designers to deliver high-impact features for millions of members globally.

You will lead end-to-end initiatives, define API strategies, and drive standards for testing, monitoring, and incident response.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale systems.
• BS or higher in CS, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficient in multiple languages (Go, Java, Python, Kotlin, Swift, C++).
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.
• Experience leading end-to-end platform projects and driving architectural decisions.
• Knowledge of testing, monitoring, and incident management standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to evolve Uber One across UberEats and UberX.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, Data Science and Designers to build scalable products.
• Architect robust, highly available systems to serve millions of users.
• Define platform evolution, microservices, and API design strategies.
• Foster engineering culture and improve velocity and quality.
