Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Senior-Level Software Engineer to support the FALCON effort. This remote-friendly role inside the continental United States involves building mission-focused software, APIs, and data pipelines with a strong emphasis on reliability and performance.

You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to transform complex data into actionable insights while mentoring teammates and guiding architectural decisions. U.S.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• Current Top Secret clearance or CBP/DHS suitability.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering (4 years exp can substitute).
• 6+ years professional programming experience.
• Experience with Java or Rust.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript.
• Willing to lead technical discussions and mentor staff.
• Familiar with Jira, Confluence, and git.
• Remote work or near Vantor facility.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to research, development, and sustainment of mission-focused software applications and data pipelines.
• Support data scientists and mission partners by creating/refining software applications and debugging.
• Engage in code reviews and technical documentation in an agile, remote-first environment.
• Deliver reliable capabilities and drive engineering efforts across cross-disciplinary teams.
