Vynca, a healthcare technology company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead development of scalable, secure solutions. You will provide technical leadership across key projects, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and data teams to improve patient care through technology.

This remote role requires Pacific Coast business hours; you will design event-driven architectures, build microservices, integrate healthcare data standards, and drive performance and reliability at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5-7 years in software engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and Java, with Flask/FastAPI and Spring Boot.
• Mastery of event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis), distributed systems, and cloud platforms (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Strong background in building scalable, real-time data pipelines (Kafka, Flink, Airflow) and hybrid batch/stream systems.
• Hands-on experience integrating and processing healthcare data standards: FHIR, CCDA, HL7 V2/V3, DICOM, etc.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and lead scalable, high-performance systems.
• Own end-to-end delivery of mission-critical products.
• Design real-time data pipelines and hybrid batch/stream architectures.
• Develop microservices and API-driven applications with backward compatibility.
• Optimize system performance and reduce infrastructure costs.
• Design fault-tolerant, cloud-native solutions (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Lead modernization and migration efforts while ensuring seamless transitions.
