Job summary

Vynca is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of scalable, secure healthcare technology solutions. You will provide technical leadership across key projects, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful products.

The role is remote with Pacific Coast business hours (PST). You will help advance patient care and outcomes through technology and work on real-time data pipelines, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• 5-7 years in software engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and Java, with experience in modern frameworks (Flask/FastAPI, Spring Boot).
• Mastery of event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis), distributed systems, and cloud platforms (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Strong background in building scalable, real-time data pipelines (Kafka, Flink, Airflow) and hybrid batch/stream systems.
• Hands-on experience integrating and processing healthcare data standards: FHIR, CCDA, HL7 V2/V3, DICOM, etc.
• Database design (SQL, NoSQL, DynamoDB) and data warehousing (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and lead the development of scalable, high-performance systems using event-driven architectures and distributed systems.
• Own end-to-end delivery of mission-critical products, from concept to deployment.
• Develop real-time data pipelines and batch/stream hybrid architectures.
• Build resilient, API-driven microservices with backward compatibility and versioning.
• Optimize system performance and reliability through caching and CI/CD practices.
• Design and migrate to cloud-native solutions on AWS and Kubernetes.
