Job summary

Vynca is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead development of scalable healthcare tech solutions. You will provide technical leadership across key projects, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve patient care through technology.

This remote role operates on Pacific Coast business hours (PST). You will drive real-time data pipelines, hybrid architectures, and cloud-native designs using AWS, Kafka, Flink, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5-7 years in software engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and Java with Flask/FastAPI or Spring Boot.
• Mastery of event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis) and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Experience building real-time data pipelines (Kafka, Flink, Airflow).
• Healthcare data standards: FHIR, CCDA, HL7 V2/V3, DICOM, etc.
• SQL/NoSQL databases and data warehousing (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
• Strong optimization, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and lead scalable, high-performance systems.
• Champion CI/CD, observability, and code quality practices.
• Own end-to-end delivery from concept to deployment for mission-critical products.
• Design real-time data pipelines with millions of records per second.
• Lead migration/modernization and cloud-native solutions (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Collaborate with product managers to translate requirements into tech solutions.
• Prototype AI/ML integrations and real-time analytics with stakeholders.
