Job summary

Concurrent Real-Time, part of HBK's Virtual Test Division, seeks a Senior Software Engineer for the Simulation Workbench (SimWB) — a real-time hardware-in-the-loop platform driving diverse I/O hardware for automotive, aerospace, and defense sectors.

You will own features end-to-end from design to release, working closely with the Principal Engineer to add capabilities, fix issues, and support customers. Strong Linux and embedded familiarity required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience in a Linux environment.
• Strong C and C++, with working knowledge of Java and Python.
• Experience owning features from design through release, including customer issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test features across the SimWB product in a real-time Linux environment.
• Develop and maintain I/O support for FPGA cards and for protocols such as EtherCAT, ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, and serial/Ethernet interfaces.
• Debug issues spanning software and hardware using logic analyzers and lab equipment.
• Contribute to the SimWB release process including build, validation, and packaging.
• Support the Support and Applications Engineering teams on customer escalations in your areas of ownership.
• Write and maintain tests and documentation for maintainability.
• Participate in design and code review and help onboard newer engineers.
