Job summary

HBK - Hottinger Brüel & Kjær invites a Senior Software Engineer to join the Simulation Workbench team in the USA. You will own features end-to-end for SimWB, a real-time hardware-in-the-loop platform running on real-time Linux, driving I/O hardware and industrial protocols.

You'll collaborate with a small team, implement, test, and support customer issues, including FPGA and driver work, with emphasis on reliability and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of Linux software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++, with knowledge of Java and Python.
• Experience taking features from design through release and customer support.
• Ability to work close to hardware and read datasheets.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end from design through release and post-release support.
• Develop and maintain real-time Linux and SimWB software for I/O hardware.
• Work with FPGA cards and protocols such as EtherCAT, ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, CAN.
• Debug hardware-software integration issues using lab equipment and analyzers.
• Contribute to the SimWB release process, builds, validation, and documentation.
