Job summary

Concurrent Real-Time, part of HBK’s Virtual Test Division, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Simulation Workbench team in Pompano Beach. You will own features end-to-end on the SimWB product, working closely with hardware and real-time Linux to deliver high-performance simulations.

The role requires 5+ years in Linux/C++, plus experience with EtherCAT, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, CAN, and FPGA I/O; a Bachelor’s in CS/EE is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development in Linux environments.
• Strong C/C++ with working knowledge of Java and Python.
• Experience owning features from design through release.
• Comfort working close to hardware and reading datasheets.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test features across the SimWB product in a real-time Linux environment.
• Develop and maintain I/O support for FPGA cards and protocols such as EtherCAT, ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, and Ethernet.
• Debug software/hardware integration issues using lab equipment.
• Contribute to the SimWB release process including build, validation, and packaging.
• Support the Support and Applications Engineering teams on customer escalations.
• Write and maintain tests and documentation.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
