Job summary

Yahoo is seeking a Sr Software Dev Engineer (Finance) to own Yahoo's enterprise Node.js development environment, including runtimes, packages, container images, and automated release pipelines. Qualifications

• Strong Node.js/JavaScript or TypeScript skills.
• Experience with developer platforms, runtimes, or infrastructure.
• Linux, containers, and CI/CD, including build automation and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, GitLab, and source code management practices.
• Experience with AI tooling like Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot in development and automation.
• Experience releasing software, managing dependencies and security updates.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Own lifecycle of Node.js runtimes and releases.
• Build and maintain Node.js packages, images, and internal integrations.
• Develop reusable CI/CD and GitHub Actions workflows.
• Monitor releases, security updates, and dependencies for platform updates.
• Troubleshoot runtime, build, packaging, container, and dependency issues.
• Automate maintenance, testing, and release validation tasks.
• Collaborate with security, OS, container, and app teams on migrations.
• Support GitHub Enterprise/GitLab Enterprise services and tooling.
• Leverage AI tools to boost productivity and automate workflows.
• Document platform operations and communicate releases.
