Job summary

Yahoo seeks a Sr Software Dev Engineer (Finance) to own Yahoo's enterprise Node.js runtimes, packages, and internal-library integrations within the Developer Experience team. Responsibilities

• Own the lifecycle of Yahoo's Node.js runtimes, including releases and end-of-life management.
• Build and maintain Node.js packages, container images, internal-library integrations, and automated release pipelines.
• Develop and support reusable CI/CD and GitHub Actions workflows for Node.js apps and libraries.
• Monitor upstream releases, security updates, and dependencies; translate into platform updates.
• Troubleshoot runtime, build, packaging, container, and dependency issues affecting engineering teams.
• Automate platform maintenance, testing, release validation, and other recurring tasks.
• Collaborate with security, OS, container, CI/CD, and application teams on platform changes.
• Support GitHub Enterprise and GitLab Enterprise services; build tools to improve source code management.
• Utilize Claude AI, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot to boost productivity and automation.
• Document platform operations; communicate releases, migrations, and deprecations clearly to users.
