Job summary

Yahoo is seeking a Sr Software Development Engineer to own Yahoo's enterprise Node.js runtimes and tooling within the Developer Experience team. You will manage releases, container images, and reusable CI/CD workflows while enhancing automation and documentation.

You will collaborate across security, OS, container, and application teams, leveraging AI tools like Claude and Copilot to improve productivity and automation. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Strong software development skills in Node.js and JavaScript or TypeScript; experience with Python, Go, or other programming languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the lifecycle of Yahoo's supported Node.js runtimes and adopt new releases.
• Build and maintain Node.js packages, container images, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and support reusable CI/CD and GitHub Actions workflows for Node.js applications and libraries.
• Monitor upstream releases, security updates, and dependencies and update the platform accordingly.
• Automate platform maintenance, testing, release validation, and recurring operational tasks.
