Job summary

Yahoo is seeking a Sr Software Dev Engineer to own the enterprise Node.js development environment, runtimes, and automation. You’ll manage releases, CI/CD pipelines, and internal tooling while coordinating with security and platform teams.

Qualifications

• Strong Node.js/JavaScript/TypeScript development skills.
• Experience with shared developer platforms or runtime environments.
• Linux, containers, and CI/CD experience including build automation.

Responsibilities

• Own Yahoo's Node.js runtimes lifecycle and updates.
• Build/maintain Node.js packages and container images.
• Develop reusable CI/CD workflows for Node.js apps and libraries.
• Monitor security updates and dependency changes and update platform.
• Troubleshoot runtime, build, packaging, and dependency issues.
• Automate platform maintenance, testing, and release validation.
• Collaborate with security, OS, container, and CI/CD teams on migrations.
• Support GitHub Enterprise and GitLab Enterprise services and tooling.
• Leverage Claude AI, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot to boost productivity.
• Document platform operations and communicate releases and migrations.
