Qualifications

• Experience building developer platforms and tooling.
• Strong Linux, container, and CI/CD troubleshooting.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the lifecycle of Yahoo’s Node.js runtimes, including releases and end-of-life management.
• Build and maintain Node.js packages, container images, and internal-library integrations.
• Develop reusable CI/CD and GitHub Actions workflows for Node.js apps and libraries.
• Monitor upstream releases, security updates, and dependency changes; implement platform updates.
• Troubleshoot runtime, build, packaging, container, and dependency issues for engineering teams.
• Automate platform maintenance, testing, release validation, and recurrent ops work.
• Collaborate with security, OS, container, CI/CD, and app teams on platform changes and migrations.
• Support GitHub Enterprise and GitLab Enterprise services; develop tools for source code management.
• Use AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot) to boost engineering productivity and automation.
• Document platform operations and communicate releases and migrations clearly.
