Job summary

Yahoo is seeking a Sr Software Dev Engineer to join the Finance-focused Developer Experience team. You will own enterprise Node.js runtimes, packaging, and CI/CD workflows to support Yahoo's large-scale ad tech platforms and data processing.

You will collaborate across security, OS, container, and engineering teams, and you will leverage AI tools such as Claude AI, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot to improve automation and developer productivity.

Qualifications

• Strong Node.js/JavaScript/TypeScript skills with Python or Go a plus.
• Experience with enterprise dev platforms and runtime environments.
• Solid Linux, container, and CI/CD troubleshooting capabilities.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub/GitLab and modern SCM practices.

Responsibilities

• Own Yahoo's Node.js runtimes, releases, and end-of-life management.
• Build/maintain Node.js packages, container images, and internal libraries.
• Develop and support reusable CI/CD and GitHub Actions workflows.
• Monitor upstream releases, security updates, and dependency changes.
• Troubleshoot runtime, build, packaging, container, and dependency issues.
• Automate maintenance, testing, release validation, and ops tasks.
• Collaborate with security, OS, container, and engineering teams on migrations.
• Support GitHub Enterprise and GitLab Enterprise services and tooling.
• Leverage Claude AI, Cursor, and Copilot to improve productivity.
• Document platform operations and communicate releases clearly.
