Job summary

Yahoo is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Developer Experience team in New York. You will own Yahoo's enterprise Node.js runtimes, packaging, and internal-library integrations, and contribute to automated release pipelines and tooling.

Collaborate across security, OS, container, and application teams to keep the platform secure, reliable, and easy to use, while advancing automation and developer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong programming skills in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with Linux, containers, and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, GitLab, and release management.
• Experience with AI tooling in software development.

Responsibilities

• Own the lifecycle of Node.js runtimes and releases.
• Build and maintain Node.js packages, containers, and internal integrations.
• Develop reusable CI/CD workflows and GitHub Actions.
• Monitor security updates and dependency changes.
• Troubleshoot runtime, build, packaging, and deployment issues.
• Document platform operations and communicate changes clearly.
