Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer SME to lead and shape technical solutions for the Chinook program. You will design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain mission-critical applications in collaboration with government stakeholders.

You’ll mentor engineers, drive best practices in architecture, DevSecOps, and secure coding while working in a dynamic, mission-focused team across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 12–15 years of experience or Master’s with 10–13 years of experience.
• Proficient with web, REST APIs, Python, Java, JavaScript, Go; front-end and back-end frameworks.
• Cloud development with multi-cloud and AWS services; relational and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical SME and adviser for Chinook mission apps.
• Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain modern web apps and backend services.
• Develop scalable, secure software across front-end and back-end tiers.
