Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer SME to support the Chinook Program. You will lead technical direction, design, develop, and deploy secure software across front-end and back-end layers, mentoring engineers and collaborating with government stakeholders.

Responsibilities include building RESTful APIs, containerized services, and cloud-enabled solutions while driving best practices in DevSecOps and Agile ceremonies.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required per contract.
• 12–15 years of relevant experience or a Master’s with 10–13 years.
• Proficient with Python/Java/JavaScript and modern web frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical SME and advisor for Chinook mission applications.
• Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain modern web apps and backend services.
• Develop scalable, secure software across front-end and back-end tiers.
• Provide technical leadership in software design, standards, reviews.
• Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, data services, and integrations.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices; participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Support CI/CD and DevSecOps, and cloud-enabled environments.
