Job summary

Leidos seeks a Software Engineer SME to join the Chinook program supporting the Intelligence Community. You will lead the design, development, and delivery of modern web applications and backend services, shaping architecture and technical direction.

You will mentor engineers, drive best practices in DevSecOps, CI/CD, and agile ceremonies, and collaborate with government stakeholders to sustain mission-critical systems in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required with 12-15 years of prior relevant experience or a Master's with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience.
Proficiency with web, backend, and cloud technologies as listed in the basic qualifications.

Responsibilities

Serve as the senior technical SME and advisor for mission applications under the Chinook program.
Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain modern web applications and backend services.
Develop scalable, secure software across front-end and back-end tiers.
Provide technical leadership in software design, coding standards, reviews, and engineering best practices.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, data services, and integrations.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and promote consistent engineering practices.
