Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer SME to lead technical decisions for mission-critical Chinook applications. You will design, build, test, and maintain modern web and backend services, while mentoring peers and ensuring secure, scalable solutions across cloud and on‑prem environments.

You will collaborate with government and contractor stakeholders, drive architecture, and contribute to CI/CD and DevSecOps practices in a high‑impact setting.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• 12–15 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or 10–13 years with a Master's.
• Proficient in Python, Java, JavaScript; Go as advanced programming language.
• Strong experience in web front-end/back-end frameworks and REST APIs.
• Deep knowledge of AWS/GovCloud, multi-cloud, IaC, containers, and DevSecOps tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical SME and advisor for Chinook mission apps.
• Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain web apps and services.
• Lead architecture decisions and promote engineering best practices.
• Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, data services, and system integrations.
• Mentor engineers and enforce coding standards and reviews.
• Support CI/CD, DevSecOps, and cloud-enabled environments.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning.
• Collaborate with government and contractor stakeholders.
