Job summary

JPMorganChase in Jersey City is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive design, development, and reliability for trusted payments technologies within the Fraud Protection group.

You will lead agile teams to create secure, scalable solutions, implement AI-assisted practices, and collaborate with product and technology leaders to protect clients from fraud while accelerating delivery.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on design, development, testing, and operational stability experience.
• Experience with front-end and back-end development, secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches.
• Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Monitor and collect performance statistics, analyzing product performance and scalability across diverse hardware, software, and configurations.
• Serve as performance advisors within teams to ensure performance considerations are integrated into development practices.
• Influence leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams.
• Proactively identify issues that could impact performance and mitigate them.
• Plan and develop methodologies for standard performance benchmarks and comparisons.
• Design, develop, and implement tools to automate performance measurement and analysis.
• Drives team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and outcomes.
