Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Jersey City to join the Payments Trust & Safety Technology Team. You will lead an agile team to design, deliver trusted, scalable technology products, focusing on fraud protection and secure production code with expert performance tuning.

You will drive performance, set standards for AI-assisted development, and collaborate with business, product, and technology leaders to mitigate risks and improve delivery speed.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Proficiency in designing, developing, testing, and operational stability of applications.
• Advanced in React, TypeScript, Java, Springboot, Microservices.
• Hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Redux, GraphQL, HTML5, CSS3, REST APIs.
• Experience with AWS services (ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, EC2, Kafka).
• Experience leading AI-assisted software development tools and validating AI outputs.

Responsibilities

• Execute innovative software solutions with design, development, and debugging.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review others' code.
• Monitor performance, analyze scalability across hardware and configurations.
• Advise on performance, drive scalable infrastructure.
• Influence senior stakeholders across business, product, and tech teams.
• Identify issues affecting performance and mitigate them.
• Plan performance benchmarks and automation tooling.
• Design and implement tools to automate performance measurement.
• Promote enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices and code validation.
