Job summary

JPMorganChase in New Jersey seeks a Lead Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver scalable, secure financial technology solutions within the Payments Data Analytics & Regulatory Compliance domain.

You will lead an agile team, apply SDLC best practices, and evaluate AI-assisted tools while ensuring code quality, performance, and resiliency across heterogeneous data sets.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience with Java and Python programming languages and SQL querying in a large corporate environment.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and AWS.
• Experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools with evaluation and validation.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling, and resiliency.
• SDLC knowledge and Agile methodologies such as CI/CD, resiliency, and security.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine challenges.
• Creates secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run with appropriate systems.
• Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to improve code quality, speed, and productivity, with peer review and testing.
• Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to improve automation value.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints are met.
• Gathers, analyzes, and visualizes data from large datasets to improve software applications.
• Identifies patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
