Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain web applications and data systems. You will influence architecture and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven experiences and AI-enabled interfaces.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of experience in application engineering, strong backend skills (Python/JS/TS), and proficiency with modern frontend frameworks. Hybrid/remote options are available across multiple CTAs and time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of application engineering or related technical role.
• Proficiency with full web stack; backend strength; collaborative UI architecture.
• Experience designing web app architecture for data-intensive apps.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience integrating generative AI and LLM APIs into prod/near-prod apps.
• Knowledge of data pipelines, data APIs, and cloud data platforms.
• Azure or similar cloud, CI/CD, environment mgmt, and application security.
• Familiarity with XR, spatial computing, or AI-assisted interfaces.
• Strong communication of complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain web app infrastructure and data systems.
• Own technical standards, patterns, deployment, and performance benchmarks.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and data scientists on UI and data stories.
• Write production-quality code across full stack, with backend focus.
• Lead AI capability evaluation and deployment within apps.
• Prototype architectures for XR and AI-driven interfaces.
• Ensure reliability, security, accessibility, and scalability of ID&E systems.
• Stay aware of emerging technologies and contribute engine-wide best practices.
