Job summary

ServiceTrade seeks a Senior Software Engineer, Accounting Integrations to lead the design and delivery of scalable integrations with external accounting platforms. You’ll build robust REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven AWS serverless workflows, while mentoring junior engineers and maintaining code quality and performance across evolving codebases.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js; mixed modern and legacy codebases.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure: Lambda, SQS, S3, DynamoDB, Step Functions.
• Designing robust Webhooks, REST APIs, OAuth/token flows; handle retries/idempotency.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB/DocumentDB; CI/CD, automated tests, event-driven systems.
• Proactive, problem-solving mindset with focus on performance and scalability.
• Practical experience using AI coding tools to accelerate delivery; review and own output.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, testing, and maintenance of scalable accounting integrations.
• Diagnose and resolve critical issues; implement preventative measures.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
• Create documentation for code and processes to enable collaboration.
• Balance daily workload across multiple priorities.
