Job summary

ServiceTrade is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Accounting Integrations to lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-volume, event-driven integrations with external accounting platforms. You will build robust REST APIs and webhooks using JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js, leveraging AWS serverless workflows and AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js; familiarity with Python for data-focused backends is a plus.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure, including Lambda, SQS/DLQs, S3, DynamoDB, Step Functions.
• Proficiency in designing robust Webhooks, REST APIs, OAuth/token flows, and handling retries/idempotency.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB/DocumentDB; familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and event-driven systems.
• Proactive problem-solver focused on performance and scalability.
• Experience using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate delivery with proper review.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, testing, and maintenance of scalable codebase for complex accounting integrations and related products.
• Diagnose and resolve critical issues; implement preventative measures to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster best practices in software engineering.
• Establish comprehensive documentation for code and processes to enable collaboration.
• Manage daily workload across competing priorities.
