Job summary

ServiceTrade is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Accounting Integrations to lead scalable integration architectures using JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js. You will design REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven AWS serverless workflows to sync data with external accounting platforms, mentor engineers, and ensure high performance and reliability across our integrations.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js, with experience in mixed modern and legacy codebases.
• Experience with AWS: Lambda, SQS, Step Functions, S3, DynamoDB.
• Designing robust Webhooks and REST APIs with retries and idempotency.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Experience using AI coding tools and performing code review.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, testing, and maintenance of scalable codebase for complex accounting integrations.
• Diagnose, resolve critical issues and implement preventative measures.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
• Create comprehensive documentation for code and processes.
• Manage daily workload across multiple priorities.
