Job summary

Raytheon in McKinney, TX, is seeking a Senior SMT Process Engineer to join the CCA Process Engineering team in a fast-paced, ISO Class 8 cleanroom environment. You will support RF microelectronic packaging and SMT, install and qualify new equipment, and drive process improvements across materials, processes and automation.

You will collaborate with product, quality, reliability, tooling, and operations teams to implement cutting-edge materials and designs while supporting mature production.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with SMT equipment and process validation.
• Familiarity with IPC, J-STD and military data packages (drawings, specs).
• Experience in process improvement and DOE techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for high-volume, high-mix production to ensure efficient operations.
• Collaborate with product, quality, reliability and manufacturing engineers on processes and production.
• Develop and implement materials, processes, and improvements using SPC, DOE, root-cause analysis.
• Evaluate materials, equipment, and processes and interface with suppliers to resolve issues.
• Lead SMT process control including paste deposition, dispensing, pick-and-place, reflow and inspection.
