Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer in McKinney, TX, to join our multi-disciplinary team in a high-growth RF microelectronics packaging environment.

The role focuses on supporting a Microwave Automated Factory in an ISO Class 8 clean room, applying SPC/DOE techniques, and collaborating with product, quality, reliability, and manufacturing engineers to drive process improvements and resolve technical issues.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with automated machines used in manufacturing
• Experience navigating technical requirements within military standards and/or other engineering data packages (i.e. product drawings)

Responsibilities

• Support the Microwave Automated Factory in high-volume, high-mix production with on-site responsiveness to equipment, process, material, and product problems.
• Support assembly processes involving automated epoxy component attachment (die attach) and cure
• Work hand-in-hand with product engineers, quality engineers, reliability engineers, and manufacturing engineers on product manufacturing
• Develop and implement materials, processes, process improvements, and production support using established statistical process control techniques, experimental designs, material analysis, mechanical design analysis, and root cause analysis
• Evaluate materials, equipment and processes (including qualification, acceptance testing, and specification development) and interface with key internal and external suppliers to resolve technical issues
• Spend 8+ hours per day in a clean room environment, following clean room and electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedure
