Collins Aerospace is seeking a manufacturing leader to supervise Surface Mount (SMT) operations on the onsite 2nd shift in Melbourne, FL. You will coach teams, drive safety, quality, and delivery while coordinating across Materials, Engineering, and Quality to meet customer commitments.

The role emphasizes Lean/six sigma principles, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize productivity and cost. A university degree plus supervisory experience is required.

Formación

• Typically requires a university degree with 5+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years; in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and supervise daily manufacturing operations in Surface Mount (SMT) production area, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are achieved.
• Manage, coach, and develop manufacturing employees while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor production schedules, prioritize work, and optimize workflow to meet customer commitments and objectives.
• Drive quality compliance by ensuring processes, documentation, and products meet established standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Materials, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics teams to resolve production issues and minimize disruptions.
• Monitor production performance through data analysis, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, process optimization, waste reduction, and operational excellence.
• Support manufacturing innovation initiatives, including automation, digital transformation, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Interface with internal and external customers to resolve production concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Promote a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies.
