Job summary

Collins Aerospace Windsor Locks, CT is seeking a manufacturing operations leader to guide a union workforce on the second shift. You will ensure safe, efficient repair activities and align daily work with FAA instructions and procedural standards.

This role partners with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Finance, and Customer Service to meet turnaround-time targets and drive continuous improvement through Lean methods and SAP-based data analysis.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 3+ years.
• Ability to work 1st shift hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of union employees with accountability and safety.
• Provide hands-on leadership and oversight of second shift operations.
• Plan daily staffing, workflow, and resources to meet turnaround time and on-time delivery.
• Monitor shift performance; address safety, quality, and productivity issues.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Finance, and Customer Service.
• Drive Lean improvements and data-driven decision making.
• Ensure FAA-acceptable work instructions and proper training.
• Maintain staffing and resources to protect parts throughout repair.
• Communicate across shifts and with leadership for handoffs.
• Use SAP or equivalent systems to monitor performance.
