Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Melbourne, FL seeks a Quality Assurance Technician to ensure product and process quality on the production floor. The role supports QMS requirements, conducts audits, and collaborates with Quality Engineers on nonconforming material and corrective actions.

You will monitor quality trends, coordinate containment, and deliver timely quality alerts. Strong reading of blueprints and customer specifications is essential.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with hand tools and measuring equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, customer specifications, purchase orders, and written and verbal instructions

Responsibilities

• Perform product and process audits, including Process Walks (LPAs), Surveillance, and Certifications
• Enforce quality policies and procedures to maintain product integrity
• Support operator and inspector skill development through hands-on training and coaching
• Coordinate suspect product containment and corrective actions with Quality Engineers
• Identify quality trends and lead Sherlock Investigations to support RCCA
• Manage the flow of non-conforming materials (NCMs) in accordance with site procedures
• Create and deliver Quality Alerts to communicate quality-related changes on the production floor
