Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Electrical/Test Engineer II in Melbourne, FL to develop, verify, and sustain test processes and equipment used in manufacturing Collins Aerospace products. The onsite role supports production through test engineering and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 2+ years of related experience or an advanced degree in a related field.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing with product testing focus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-functional teams to improve test yields, throughput, capacity and product quality.
• Identify test failure trends and perform root-cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Study performance and reliability of test equipment; establish programs to reduce downtime.
• Analyze test approaches for cost reduction, efficiency, yields, and capacity opportunities.
• Provide capacity planning and utilization analysis for staffing and equipment needs.
• Select and order capital test equipment using cost/payback analysis; track requests.
• Improve test fixtures and equipment to enhance performance.
• Participate in Production Readiness Reviews for new designs.
