Job summary

GitLab Inc. is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to be the deepest technical voice for a product group, guiding customers on top opportunities and aligning product capabilities with business outcomes.

You will collaborate with Product and Engineering, lead PoV evaluations, and help shape the roadmap across Security & Compliance, Platform, Core DevSecOps, and AI domains. This remote US-based role emphasizes deep technical leadership, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and creating

Qualifications

Significant experience in pre-sales or solutions architecture within software.
Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes and major cloud providers.
Ability to present to executives and lead whiteboard sessions.
Experience with structured PoC/PoV evaluations and defined success criteria.
Strong written communication and ability to create reusable assets.

Responsibilities

Act as the technical authority for your product group on prioritized opportunities from discovery to PoV evaluations.
Lead deep dives, workshops, and executive briefings linking product capabilities to business outcomes.
Design and improve PoV templates with clear success criteria; Account SAs own the customer PoV.
Prepare account teams for product launches with demos and playbooks.
Serve as escalation point for complex product questions and integrations.
