STR in Woburn, MA seeks a Lead Software Engineer (Signal Processing) to design, develop, and implement real-time DSP software for advanced radar systems. You will lead teams across multi-disciplinary groups to deliver embedded software across the signal processing chain for radar applications in demanding environments.

The role requires expertise in C++ (C++17+), accelerated signal processing, and radar system concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus several years of applicable experience; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience implementing real-time signal processing in software for radar/ EW applications.
• Security clearance: Active SECRET with eligibility for TS; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support and/or lead development of radar/EW DSP systems through DSP implementation.
• Architect, design, and implement embedded software in multi-function, deployable systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to derive system requirements and specifications.
• Lead new software implementations and contribute to roadmaps for technology/products.
• Document solutions with design specs, test plans, and reports.
• Communicate progress to STR management and customers.
• Validate system performance through simulations and real-world testing.
