Front Door Defense is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in Woburn, MA to lead real-time radar software development across DSP processing and system integration. The role requires active SECRET clearance with eligibility for TS, strong C++ (C++17+), embedded Linux, and radar/EO experience.

You will design, implement, test, and lead teams delivering deployable radar software in multi‑function systems.

Qualifications

• Active SECRET security clearance with eligibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience implementing real-time signal processing in software for radar/EO systems.
• 5+ years of C/C++ development; Embedded Linux development experience.
• Experience with radar systems design, development, verification, and data analysis.
• Xilinx MPSoC and/or RFSoC platforms familiarity.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
• Equivalent experience considered for degree/experience combinations.

Responsibilities

• Support and/or lead development of DSP-based radar/EW systems.
• Architect, design, and implement embedded software in multi-function, deployable systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to derive system requirements.
• Research and lead new software implementations; refine roadmaps.
• Document solutions and communicate with team, management, and customers.
• Design and implement signal processing and software solutions.
• Perform performance analysis via simulations and real-world testing.
• Prepare design specs, test plans, and reports.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders on project updates.
