Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a ServiceNow Technical Lead for a full-time remote opportunity in the United States. The candidate will provide hands-on technical leadership, solution architecture guidance, and delivery oversight for the ServiceNow platform.

The role requires 6+ years of ServiceNow experience, 2+ years leading teams, and expertise across ITSM, CMDB/CSDM, ITOM, and integration with external systems. Certifications are preferred and a strong ITIL background is expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on ServiceNow design, implementation, and admin experience.
• 2+ years leading technical teams or projects.
• Advanced skills in JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• ITIL v4 and ITSM knowledge with automation focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations for a team of developers, sysadmins, and analysts.
• Enforce ServiceNow development standards, scoping, and release workflows to minimize tech debt.
• Mentor on script performance, Flow Designer, and platform upgrades.
• Architect end-to-end solutions using OOTB ITSM, CMDB/CSDM, ITOM, CSM, and HRSD modules.
• Design integrations via Integration Hub, REST/SOAP, and Mid Servers with external IT, HR, and security systems.
• Translate business requirements into technical user stories, diagrams, and release roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Process Owners and Architects to prioritize backlog and manage sprint execution.
