Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced ServiceNow SAM Developer to join our Strategic Operations Project Team responsible for transitioning AFDW ITSM from BMC Helix to ServiceNow. You will build, configure, and deploy automated workflows, custom applications, and system integrations to replace legacy processes for the Air Force District of Washington and the Department of the Air Force.

You will lead end-to-end lifecycle automation, platform development, and governance, leveraging Flow Designer,

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelors degree in a technical field and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with 6+ years of experience.
• At least 4 years of ServiceNow development and scripting experience (JavaScript, Glide APIs, HTML, XML).
• Proven expertise in Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and API integrations.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, required.
• Advanced ServiceNow Certifications: CIS in ITSM preferred.
• Strong experience in ITAM (SAM/HAM) and ITOM (CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping).
• Experience in large-scale ServiceNow implementations and platform governance.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and maintain ServiceNow SAM Pro, SaaS Management, and HAM Pro integrations.
• Implement and maintain software entitlement models, license metrics, and automated reconciliation engines.
• Design end-to-end asset lifecycle automations using Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, and scoped applications.
• Develop platform components with clean scripting: Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and UI Policies.
• Optimize ServiceNow data models, CMDB relationships, and asset table schemas.
• Collaborate with IT Asset Managers, Procurement, and ITIL process owners to translate licensing rules into technical specs.
• Author architecture documents, runbooks, and knowledge bases; mentor team members.
