Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a ServiceNow SAM Developer to support the Air Force District of Washington ITSM Modernization program based at Joint Base Andrews, MD. This full-time onsite role focuses on transitioning from BMC Helix to ServiceNow, delivering ITAM and SAM solutions that support DoD operations.

You will build and maintain SAM Pro, SaaS Management, and HAM integrations, implement license metrics, automate reconciliation, and design asset lifecycle workflows while ensuring data

• Active Secret Clearance.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience with at least 4 years in software development.
• 8+ years of relevant experience preferred, or Master’s with 6+ years relevant experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript, Glide APIs, HTML, XML, and ServiceNow scripting frameworks.
• Experience with ServiceNow Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, REST/SOA integrations, and API development.
• Experience implementing ServiceNow SAM Pro, SaaS Management, ITAM, and HAM Pro capabilities.
• Strong understanding of CMDB architecture, software licensing, and IT asset lifecycle management.

Responsabilidades

• Build, configure, and maintain ServiceNow SAM Pro, SaaS Management, and HAM integrations.
• Implement software entitlement models, license metrics, and automated reconciliation processes.
• Design asset lifecycle automation workflows including software requests, allocation, harvesting, reclamation, renewals, retirement.
• Design, code, test, debug, document, and deploy scalable ServiceNow solutions.
• Develop Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and Service Portal components.
• Optimize CMDB relationships, data models, and asset management architecture.
• Execute data imports, transform maps, scheduled jobs, and enterprise integrations.
• Develop dashboards and reports for software licensing and asset utilization.
• Prepare technical design documentation and migrate updates across environments.
• Perform unit testing, patch validation, and ATF testing.
• Leverage Now Assist and AI Agents to improve efficiency.

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a ServiceNow SAM Developer to support the Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) ITSM Modernization Program based at Joint Base Andrews, MD. This position is a full-time role that will be onsite. As a ServiceNow SAM Developer, you will play a pivotal role in transitioning AFDW IT Service Management capabilities from BMC Helix to ServiceNow, helping deliver secure, automated, and mission-focused IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) solutions that directly support Department of the Air Force operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and maintain ServiceNow SAM Pro, SaaS Management, and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) integrations.
• Implement software entitlement models, license metrics, normalization rules, and automated reconciliation processes.
• Design and develop asset lifecycle automation workflows including software request fulfillment, allocation, harvesting, reclamation, renewals, and retirement activities.
• Design, code, test, debug, document, and deploy scalable ServiceNow platform solutions.
• Develop and maintain Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Policies, Service Portal components, and custom applications.
• Optimize CMDB relationships, data models, and asset management architecture to improve performance and data integrity.
• Execute data imports, transform maps, scheduled jobs, and integrations with third-party discovery, procurement, and vendor management systems.
• Develop dashboards, compliance reporting, audit reporting, and executive-level visibility into software licensing and asset utilization.
• Prepare technical design documentation and migrate update sets and scoped applications across development, test, and production environments.
• Perform unit testing, defect remediation, platform upgrade support, patch validation, and Automated Test Framework (ATF) testing.
• Leverage ServiceNow AI capabilities, including Now Assist and AI Agents, to improve operational efficiency and user experience.
• Collaborate with IT Asset Managers, Procurement teams, and ITIL process owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop runbooks, knowledge articles, technical documentation, and provide mentorship to team members.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience, including at least 4 years of specialized software development experience.
• 8+ years of relevant experience preferred, or Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript, Glide APIs, HTML, XML, and ServiceNow scripting frameworks.
• Experience with ServiceNow Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, REST/SOA integrations, and API development.
• Experience implementing and supporting ServiceNow SAM Pro, SaaS Management, ITAM, and HAM Pro capabilities.
• Strong understanding of CMDB architecture, software licensing, software compliance, and IT asset lifecycle management.
• Experience with data imports, transform maps, scheduled jobs, and enterprise integrations.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and ServiceNow best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and provide technical guidance to team members.

Compensation to Include

• Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000 depending on experience
• Full Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if Required by Law
