Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a ServiceNow SAM Developer to support the Air Force District of Washington ITSM modernization at Joint Base Andrews, MD. This full-time onsite role focuses on migrating ITSM from BMC Helix to ServiceNow, delivering secure ITAM/SAM solutions for DoD operations.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience, with at least 4 years in software development.
• 8+ years of relevant experience preferred, or a Master's degree with 6+ years experience.
• Minimum 4 years hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript, Glide APIs, HTML/XML, and ServiceNow scripting.
• Experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, REST/SOA integrations, and API development.
• Experience with SAM Pro, SaaS Management, ITAM, and HAM Pro capabilities.
• Strong CMDB understanding and software asset lifecycle management.
• Ability to work independently and mentor team members.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and maintain ServiceNow SAM Pro, SaaS Management, and HAM integrations.
• Implement license metrics, entitlement models, and automated reconciliation.
• Design asset lifecycle automation workflows including requests, renewals, and retirement.
• Design, code, test, and deploy scalable ServiceNow solutions.
• Develop Script Includes, Business Rules, UI Actions, UI Policies, and Service Portal components.
• Optimize CMDB relationships and asset management architecture for performance.
• Execute data imports, transform maps, and enterprise integrations with third-party systems.
• Develop dashboards and reports on software licensing and asset usage.
• Prepare technical designs and migrate updates across environments.
• Perform unit testing, patch validation, and ATF testing.
